I served as secretary-general of the Kuromatsunai Tourist Association for 12 years. Over the past 12 years, I worked to develop the Wilderness tour in the Southern Hokkaido area. I have extensive experience in unusual and innovative tourism development. Recent activities include an ‘Eco-Mobility town project’ using human power (walking, cycling, canoeing) to explore the Kuromatsunai lowlands, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan to draw nearest in Japan.

I studied fine arts in London. Following my study, I worked in the UK as a media coordinator to travel throughout the UK and the other countries.
After returning to my homeland, Hokkaido, I joined the environmental organization at Sarobetsu National Park where I learned about the ecosystem and environmental education. Since then, I am passionate about working with local communities to establish sustainable tourism, especially I am involved in the development of the Adventure travel in the Hokkaido. Now I am based in the world heritage of Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes to launch a new business.
